AccountingWEB have followed up with their own slant on the ‘nudge’ story from yesterday. They look more deeply into Behavioural Insights Ltd and the legal loophole that allows HMRC to send letters of this nature mid-litigation.

There are also some interesting comments

Glennzy says, “They don’t use their behavioural studies to get answers to more basic tasks. Such as why they cannot answer the telephone in less than 30 minutes.”

Which is really the line of this website, most people want to pay the right tax, HMRC makes it very difficult to do this with their complex system and poor customer service.
