Deadline today

 In HMRC Investigation

It’s the deadline to get your tax return into HMRC. And we know what the story will be: too many people leaving it to the last minute (well that’s just human nature) and the submissions process getting overloaded and crashing, HMRC will say that this is a conspiracy – as they did last year. People will be sent out an automatic £100 penalty letter then complain because the HMRC computers were down, more than half will get a refund. Time, energy and cash all wasted – as it was last year. There has got to be a better way of doing it. As you hold that thought here is a film from Dan and Dan about their last minute return.
